London report

There are no rings or dots over a's or o's so I am doing this in English. Good exercise for my daughter weho is currently doing a university course in the language.
We arrived yesterday evening in good time. The plane was half an hour before schedule and instead of circling round Heathrow for a while they found or gate immediately. So we were at our hotel an hour before the estimated time.
Stepping into the very small foyer of Morgan House is much like coming home. We have used this hotel, ideally situated in Belgravia, for more than ten years and have stayed in almost all of their 11 rooms. This time we are in room 4, for a change an en suite room. At our age you might as well anjoy a little luxury.

We managed two pub visits last night and in between them we secured tickets to see Billy Elliot at Victoria Palace Theatre on Monday. I have been to that theatre once before, in the early 90s, to see Buddy Holly, a musical that is running again in some other part of London.

At Victoria station they have got a new mac hine where you can make your own postcards. You just supply the machine with a picture of yourself and then chose a layout, with some famous London scenes, and there you are. A personakl postcard from London featuring yourself. Just £1 each. Pity we had already bought all the postcards we needed when we discovered it.
And isn't it amazing? With the current pound rate it is cheaper to send a postcard from London to Mellerud than from Mellerud to Skara.

And I am launching a formal protest against all the long buses that have substituted the double deckers. If you want to do your sightseeing from an ordinary bus it is impossible to see anything if you cannot get on to the top deck. I don't like the new mayor of London but I back his desicion on bringing back the classic Routemaster, when you could jump on and off whenever it pleased you. Just make it quick. I will be back here in March.

Now time for Denmark Street in search for odd guitar cables and capos for 12-string guitars.

Would you like the comments in English as well? Hope you´ll have some wonderful days. Next time you visit a pub, have a beer for me, please. Whatever kind you prefer, it´s optional.

See ya!
